Prices for translation are agreed for each assignment. Prices may vary from around EUR 0.11
to more or less EUR 0.20 per word for the majority of languages and combinations – and will always be
extremely competitive compared to current market rates. Per-word
charges will usually be somewhat higher in the case of certain non-European
languages, as well as when ordering shorter
text. They will be somewhat lower for translations to and from the Nordic
languages (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish),
English, even more so for Russian and other Eastern European languages such as Czech, Slovak, Polish, Bulgarian
and Romanian. Spanish, Italian, French, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, etc.
are located in the middle of the tree. Translations made from a foreign
language (e.g. German) to let’s say English, will usually be
priced more moderately than if the same text is translated to Norwegian. Volume
discounts are applied to larger assignments, i.e. the larger the volume
of the assignment, the lower the price per word. The same applies when
ordering document translation – the more documents ordered, the lower the
price per document. For further pricing information email us your text. Contact us for a
fast translation quote today –
by, preferably, emailing us your text/document as an attachment
– or by at least specifying the number of words (for documents in Word, Excel
or PowerPoint formats), type of content and preferred deadlines.
Our minimum charge per translation assignment for international
clients is EUR 60 (no VAT being charged for cross-frontier services).
For some types of text or language pairs, this amount will be higher. Prices
may be somewhat higher for government-authorized, or certified, translations,
starting from EUR 65 per assignment, depending on the language
and size of the documents being assigned (amount of text, i.e. number
of pages/words). The price per document will be lower the more documents are
ordered. A price estimate is worked out (based on the source text or the
documents to be translated) before we initiate the project. Rates are
generally higher for certain non-European languages, as well as for most
combinations involving Scandinavian languages, especially Icelandic and Faeroese;
lower for some Eastern European and South-East Asian languages. Principal
Western European languages like German, French and Dutch fall in the
mid-price range, followed by Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. For more info

Bank transfer to our Norwegian bank account
is our preferred payment method for amounts larger than EUR 150. When paying
by usual bank transfer (bank wire), you will need to insure that all
charges for the transfer are paid for by your side. If making an
international credit card payment, PayPal is
the authorized payment processor for Norsk
Språkservice. If you're familiar with PayPal, it
might be an easier way of transferring the amount to our account. You can
also register with PayPal by going directly to our
secure online payment
form. You will need to complete the registration requirements
before you will be able to make a payment. Quotes are made per email only,
based on the original source text amount or word count, and can be made in
Euros, US dollars, Canadian dollars, Pounds Sterling, Danish Kroner, Swedish
Kronor and Norwegian Kroner. Try us! To read more about currently available

Norsk Språkservice focuses on delivering high quality translations at
the right price. Please attach or include your text for an exact price
estimate, one which is non-binding and free of charge.
After reviewing your documents or source text, we will prepare a cost
estimate for each assignment. We will agree on the price before the
translation work is started. Our translation pricing will depend on
the amount of text, type of content and deadlines, and will also vary
depending on the language or subject area, as well as the degree of complexity
of the source text. Normally, translation rates are charged on a per-word or
per-page (300-word) basis, calculated in the source language. The price level
may often be lower for translations between English and other foreign
languages, compared to rates for translations between Norwegian and
the corresponding language. Special discounts will apply for larger or
recurring assignments. A rush charge may be applied for unusually fast
turnaround requests. The price per assignment cannot be less than EUR 60
(minimum charge per individual translation assignment). Certification
of accuracy of translation on company headed paper may also cost extra. Norwegian
VAT will generally not apply in the case of cross-frontier
assignments. Feel free to contact us
for a price offer, entirely free of charge and without any obligation. Try us!
Officially approved translations of public documents are somewhat
more expensive than "regular" translations that do not require the
translator’s signature and stamp. These can be made by government-authorized
translators that we collaborate with, on our official letter-headed
paper/stationery with our agency’s stamp and signature confirming that the
translation is correct. Upon request, we can include a signed translation
certification, or affidavit of accuracy (similarly placed on our letterhead
and complete with our company's stamp). Note! Translations from various
foreign languages (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Lithuanian,
Croatian, Albanian, Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Dari, Hindi, Thai, Chinese,
Japanese and Vietnamese) are normally cheaper when made into English,
than if made into Norwegian. Such translations are officially accepted
by all public authorities in
